At what stage do you invest?

We specialise in early-stage investments, typically making our first investment in a company around the pre-seed or seed stage.

We value long-term relationships and can support companies through multiple phases, having made an initial investment.

How do you structure investments

We look at each investment as a bespoke engagement.

We are investing our own money and are therefore not restricted in how we invest. We want to understand what you want to achieve through the investment process and how we can best support you.

I am thinking about investment in the future, when is the right time to make contact?

If you are already thinking seriously about investment, then the time has arrived.

We like to get to know people away from the fundraising roadshow. We don’t need (or particularly want) a heavily rehearsed pitch or a polished deck. If you are ready to give us a clear and simple introduction to your business, we are ready to listen.     

How do you make money?

We only make money when the founders we invest in are successful in building the value of their business.

We don’t receive management fees; we are investing our own money, rather than on behalf of other investors.

What do you offer in addition to money?

We are active investors, supporting you with advice, experience and connections.

What do you look for in founders?

We look for founders who are passionate about the problem they are addressing, who can demonstrate resourcefulness and a capacity for constant learning and who have a sound grasp of the commercial aspects of their business.

We are impressed by founders who can articulate what they are seeking to achieve and why in a way that is simple, clear and engaging.

What can I show you that will grab your attention?

Show us evidence that you have found a way to be unreasonably effective.

What can you do better than anyone else, even with limited resources? What have you managed to learn that has alluded others?

The scope of this evidence may be very limited in the early stages, but its longer-term implications might just be profound.

Do you invest alongside other investors?

Yes, we invest alongside other investors.

We are also ready to provide founders with their first cheque and to invest independently, between funding rounds.
